It is with great pride that The Welsh Face and Body Painting Festival can announce that we now have official patronage of the World Body Painting Association making it the only event in the United Kingdom to carry this honour.

To further improve our event the organising committee have decided to move the event from Swansea to Carmarthen. There are many reasons for the move, not least that of wishing to further follow the ethos of the World Body Painting Festival in Seeboden.	Artist Nick and Brian Wolfe
Artist Lorna Strachan	We have secured exclusive use of the United Counties Showground in Carmarthen enabling our event to have a real open air feel to it and provide for its growth and development year on year.
Carmarthen itself is steeped in history as well as myths and legends. One of the oldest legends being that it was the birth place of Merlin the Magician so where better to put on a display of some of the worlds finest talent and to show the magic that is Face and Body Painting. Artist Carolyn Roper	We have gathered together some of the best painters in the world to demonstrate and share their skills with you. We have artists from every corner of the United Kingdom and from overseas coming to take part. World champions, Emmy and Bafta winners even Oscar nominated artists. A true mix of the top people in their fields, facepainters,henna artists, body painters and special effects artists that are second to none.
Centuries ago Merlin cast his magic over this area now come and witness the almost magical transformations taking place before your eyes. The magic of bringing smiles to children, the magic of the transformations created with the art of body painting and the magic of the best special effects artists transforming people from human to beast, from man to animal all before your very eyes. Artist Alex Hansen	There will be lectures and demonstrations, competitions, hands on classes, retailers of all the products imaginable. A truely family orientated event. Set in the wonderful Carmarthenshire countryside and run by family people ,for family people within our family that is the magical world of Face and Body Art.
