Information

Artists are able to access the competition area, with their model, from 12.30pm.

The contest will commence at 1.30pm and end at 3.30pm.

Judging will take place in the ‘Contest’ Area from 3.45pm until 4.30pm.

The Final presentation takes place at 5.30pm.

Participation is by prior application and will be limited to 20 contestants.

Face Painting Models under 16 will require parental consent upon competition registration at the festival.

Theme for the Face Painting Competition is Classical Civilisation

Rules

1. No use of special effects on the face, only the makeup and false eyelashes and/or contact lenses.

2. Only Face, neck and shoulders may be painted.

3. Besides face painting, character costume is allowable in order to enable the model to become a complete creature.

4. Only the artist and model are allowed in the working area.

5. The model cannot assist with makeup or hair.

6. No preparation can be carried out before 1.30pm the start of the competition i.e. painting or applying of bases etc.

7. Only character costume or other accessories which need to be put over the head may be applied prior to competition start time. Failure to comply will result in loss of points in the final marking.

8. Only face painting products are to be used, however, any brand of face paint or make up product may be used. We ask you to take care of your model.

9. The minimum age for participants is 18 years.
