Carmarthenshire is steeped in history, myths and legends. One of the oldest legends names it as the birthplace of Merlin, so it's an ideal place to showcase the magical transformations created using the art of face and body painting and special effects make up, displaying some of the world's finest talent. 

 With a beautiful backdrop of landscaped parkland, stunning coastal views and long sandy beaches, the festival is proud to make its home in Llanelli's Millennium Coastal Park.

Festival Fields is right on the Carmarthenshire coast and is the perfect venue to hold the inaugural Welsh Face and Body Painting Festival.  Within the Coastal Park are nearby lakes, cycle paths and miles of beach offering a relaxing atmosphere and superb leisure facilities. It is our intention to create a truly family orientated event, set in the wonderful Llanelli Coastal Park. 

The 500 seat outdoor amphitheatre gives the ideal place to showcase the many artistic creations from internationally acclaimed artists, instructors and competitors. The venue is easy to get to in your own vehicle or using public transport. It is a few minutes from the motorway and within 3 miles of the main line station (with direct links to London).  

The Welsh Face and Body Painting Festival can proudly announce that it has the official patronage of the World Body Painting Association making it the first event in the United Kingdom to carry this honour.
